		<description>This time of year, those squash and gourds are everywhere, but few people know what to do with them except use as a decoration.

Pumpkin, butternut, acorn, all squash can be poached and pureed for a soup.  My favorite is butternut squash and granny smith apple with a little nutmeg and cinnamon.

Thank you for your article that will hopefully motivate people to look at their porch decorations as actual food this year.</description>
