Guinness Time #2: Project “Cupcake” Done, SerialCooking Faster, Better & Stronger

Submitted by Nicolas on Thursday, 30 April 2009No Comment

OUF! it is now official: the second public version of SerialCooking is out of the box!

You’ll find on this “cru” (vintage) a brand new design coupled with a better usability. We’ve added a few functionalities (like the possibility to link your blog post inside the website) but the major work was done on the interface.

Their are certainly lots of perfectible things, but I must admit that I’m pleased with this version, which way simpler than the old one!

Let’s take a look together on what’s new!

New design:

New simple recipe view:

New blog post recipe view:

By doing this, your post can be saved and planned as any other recipe on the application.

New recipe creation process:

welcome-to-serialcooking-cooking-community_1241099345862We’ve changed the recipe creation process to make it easier. Just fill in the form you need, provide your blog post url if relevant, and wait for the approval. Simple!

And now, what’s next?

Well, I’ve improved the process of releasing new versions, so we should be able to deliver minor features and corrections easily now.

I’ll continue my work on the “octopus” project : indexing the users’ blog posts (you can register your food blog now). I am also looking into displaying, in your ‘kitchen’, statistics for the recipes you submit, as well as redesigning the activity dashboard.

But right now it’s Guinness Time :D

What do you think of this version? Do you have any ideas for future improvements? It would be very cool if you could leave us some comments on all this :)
