Like an Easter Monday
Hi everyone,
Today is Easter Monday, and outside it’s sunny and the air starts smelling of growing flowers and fresh cut grass (I love this scent). Bristol is really a great city to live in when the sun comes back.
This week we’ll have a lot to do. We are still working on the new version of Serial Cooking, which we’d like to release as soon as possible (it should be by the end of the week).
Why is it taking so long?
Well, I must admit that we’ve changed our plan for the future of Serial Cooking a little bit, and decided to concentrate more on food bloggers earlier than expected. So there is a lot of work to do, but we hope that you’ll like the new version.
What will be new?
I’m not going to reveal everything today but we’ve worked on a brand new homepage, a better usability and some additional features will be implemented on the users’ accounts. In a word, exciting stuff!
Once this version is released, we’ll start indexing and ranking your food blogs, so don’t hesitate to drop us a line if you’re interested in promoting your blog with Serial Cooking.
Is it the final version?
As you can see, we are fluffing around with the design and the menu, we are - currently - constantly changing things. This is because the project is growing very quickly and our ideas follow the same path. So we try different solutions for a better usability and experience for our users.
I really think that the new version (coming this week) will be the final version of our application. It doesn’t mean that we’ll not introduce new functionalities in the future, but just that we’ll keep our mind on the actions and not on the layout design.
Working on Easter?
Since we’ve moved to Bristol, this is the first Easter we spend without our family. I must admit that I miss looking at my godson hunting chocolate eggs in the garden, or having one of my mum’s or my aunt’s gigantic meal … so I thought that working was the best solution to avoid this.
We really hope you’ll like the improvement. Leave us a comment if you want to share some ideas…
Have a great Easter Monday!
Nicolas
