Because It’s Not Only About Chocolate…

Submitted by Nathalie on Monday, 9 March 2009No Comment

We usually don’t buy a lot of junk food, ie crisps, sweets, chocolate… We’d better have home-made biscuits or cakes than this sort of stuff. However, once in a while, we make an exception, and this time it’s Kinder Surprises we couldn’t resist.

Kinder Surprise

There’s something about Kinder chocolates, which is sort of addictive. The more you have, the more you want, even though the chocolate is way too sweet. Besides, you can’t wait to open the shell and find out what toy you get, even though it’s going directly to the bin, because who keeps those toys (except for collectors)? Sometimes they’re cute toys, sometimes they’re crap or they’re not what you expected and you feel a bit disappointed… Don’t you?

Yet, sometimes Kinder toys are great! Just like the Little Lambs limited series.

Let me explain. Since we arrived in the UK, about 1 year ago, Nicolas has become a fan of sheeps and lambs. Last summer we’ve been hiking quite a lot and discovering British landscapes, and no matter where you go, you’ll always see some sheeps. Black, white, big, small, with or without wool. They’re beautiful and have become like an emblem of our adventure in England.

So when we spotted the Little Lambs Kinder Surprise in the store 2 weeks ago, we couldn’t resist and we bought 1 box each (there are 3 eggs and 1 Little Lamb per box). Last week, we bought 2 more boxes. And yesterday, we bought some more… I’m not sure whether I should be ashamed of it or not because that sounds like a lot of sweet sweet chocolate in a very short period of time…

Little Lambs Angora Dora Little Lambs Pete Beat

Little Lambs Silly Billy Little Lambs Wooly Jumper

Of course when you buy them, you wish to get one of each kind… and it never happens. You end up with duplicates and you don’t get the one you wanted most. That’s why we are now willing to trade some of our Little Lambs.
In short, we’ve got 1 Angora Dora, 1 Pete Beat and 2 Silly Billy to trade and we’re looking for Snoozie Suzie.

If interested, please contact us and you’ll make us a happy couple! :D
