Inspiring Chopping Boards…
A chopping board is another kitchen essential that we all have, whether it be large or small, made of wood or plastic, classic or original.
I’ve got two chopping boards in my kitchen: one large for chopping fruits & vegetables and another one, smaller, which I use for meat. Indeed, you are supposed to have different boards for meat, vegetables and seafood, because nothing should come into contact with raw meat.
Anyway, both my cutting boards are classic: the old small one is made of wood, the new large one is made of bamboo. Handy but not fancy. It’s the kind of thing that I thought did not need to be fancy… until I saw the other day a set of cute cutting boards in a gadget shop. They are just beautiful and I won’t resist long before buying them, that’s for sure! They are the Joseph Joseph index chopping boards.
‘Index’ is our new chopping board categorisation system. In a neat ABS storage case that has a non-slip base, the four colour coded chopping boards have illustrated tabs labelling which board should be used for which food type (vegetables, fish, raw meat and cooked food). Made from dishwasher safe polypropylene, the tabs are staggered for visual ease.

They also have these nice and handy cutting boards called Chop 2 Pot, which makes it much easier to drop chopped food into your pot.
Joseph Joseph worked with inventor/designer Mark Sanders to develop Chop 2 Pot. This innovative chopping board uses the latest technology in polypropylene living hinges, when the handle is squeezed the board folds into a chute to help guide diced and chopped food into the pot. This award winning product is dishwasher safe and comes with a 3 year guarantee.

Not a fan of Joseph Joseph? That’s ok, there are many other types of chopping board…
A knife & chopping board set with drawer (I like that!)
Or an Eco-Chef chopping board made from 100% recycled cardboard (I like this one too!)
There are plenty of designs for chopping boards… What is your favourite?
