Friday Weird Food & World Nutella Day
Were you aware that there existed a World Nutella Day? Unfortunately, if you weren’t, you missed it since it was yesterday, 5 February. I’ve missed it as well since I didn’t know about it but I’ve decided to make up for it and looked for weird recipes with Nutella.
Before writing anything, I should warn you that these recipes or combinations are weird to me only. There’s no judgment of any kind and if you like eating them, please don’t feel offended…
Nutella & “saucisson”
This weird combination comes from a friend of mine who apparently enjoys it. “Saucisson” is a type of sausage, a bit like salami but not exactly. It’s French and really good. Except when you eat with Nutella (personal opinion).
There’s nothing more simple if you want to try it: find a “saucisson” (which may be tricky in the UK), slice it and dip the slice in the Nutella before eating it.
Nutella & cheese
I’m not talking about cream cheese here, it would be way too easy. I’m talking about “real” cheeses: goat cheese and brie. Because those have a strong taste, I find weird to combine them with Nutella but feel free to try it…
Nutella & goat cheese melt: you stir together the Nutella and goat cheese and spread it on bread to make sandwiches… wonder what it tastes like.
Nutella & brie pancake: make a pancake (a crêpe actually is better). Spread Nutella on it and then add a slice or two of brie cheese. Fold it and enjoy!
