Recipe: Chocolate Cookies - Recette: Cookies Tout Chocolat

Submitted by Nathalie on Monday, 2 February 20092 Comments

I haven’t published a recipe involving chocolate yet even though I am a big fan of chocolate muffin, fondant, cream, mousse, brownie… It is now time to make up for this deficiency. In order to do so, I have chosen one of my favourite chocolate recipes - and a recipe which has been approved unanimously: my Chocolate Cookies.

Chocolate Cookies

Makes 20 cookies - Ready in 45 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 220g dark chocolate
  • 170g brown sugar
  • 80g plain flour
  • 10g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl over a pan of boiling water.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
  • In a third bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar until light in colour.
  • Add the flour mixture into the egg & sugar bowl. Stir well.
  • Add in the melted chocolate. Stir well.
  • Cover a tray with baking parchment.
  • Using teaspoons, make small balls of dough and place them on the baking tray.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Hello. I did love them! however, i was so bummed about the small recipe size. ((which, being pretty new to baking and having to convert some of the measurements, i could not determine)). It only made 14 regular sized cookies! :(( lol but they were worth it! thanks for sharing! made these because i was out of baking soda for the chocolate cookies i was going to make but still had baking powder.. so you made my night!
